Live and share the teachings of Jesus Christ

Image
Imagine a God that loves you more than you love yourself. It's hard to even picture, or fathom right? I find it hard to imagine because as much as I love him, for all the blessings, and all the wondrous things I've been given in this life, because of how much I love him for loving me, times that by 10000000000+ infinity and that's not even half of how much my savior and my father in heaven loves me. How could a love like this be possible? Christ. That's how a love so pure and perfect can exist, and it's all because of Jesus Christ. My man! My savior, my redeemer. He did it all, for me, for you and for the world of people to ever live. I might be over exaggerating; but I cannot see a love that strong even possible, yet I know it exists. when and if you're down on yourself, wondering how you're good enough to be here, when you're looking in the mirror day after day and not seeing the beauty in yourself, remind yourself that a God exists out there,...

Gods love is heavenly.

Image
some days, even though nothing extremely hard or trying has happened, we can feel helpless, or lost in a way that is lonely. and though subconsciously, we know that we are never alone truly, the alone feeling overwhelms. lately i've had the trial of not feeling close enough to my savior Jesus Christ. Not feeling good enough to feel Gods love, his grace and his comfort allowing you to continue on strongly. although i knew i was very loved, and very much a daughter of God, i didn't think i had a close or strong enough relationship with my Father in Heaven. I felt as if i wasn't worthy enough to feel of his love, or his comfort. But i assure you of how truly wrong i was. I decided that it was my goal to build a stronger relationship with my savior, and my Father in Heaven. So that night, i knelt down. i prayed for longer than i ever remember praying for. not that i asked him for any certain thing, but talked to him, i expressed my concerns, and explained exactly how i...

i am a mormon.

Image
this blog post may or may not be all over the place. but i guess, we'll start with the negative things. so we can end with the positive things. this week, i was reminded that the adversary (Satan) is real. i was reminded that he will do anything in his power to break me, not only to break me, but to take everything i've worked for away from me in a blink of an eye. SATAN: he is powerful, he is strong, he is smart, he is manipulative, he is the devil, and he is the absolute worst thing to ever exist. this week i learned that sorrow comes from only dark places, dark places being SATAN. i learned that dark, un-peaceful, unwanted and temptations are from Satan himself. Satan does not have complete control over us, but when he gets a grasp, the grasp becomes strong, he will take you for a wild ride. so when you're in a situation that you know is wrong, or a situation you don't want to be in, remember that by not removing yourself from it, is you giving into ...

to live and to die.

Today i've thought a lot about life. what it means to be alive, to be brought to Earth, to have a family so perfectly created for me. i've thought about death, what it means to return to our Father in Heaven. i've thought about how grateful i am for Gods plan, for his sacrifices for us. recently it seems like death has been exploding in my life. so i began thinking what it means to be alive, and what it means to die. how amazing it is that we are sent to earth for a body, that it's our body until we die. its really just a house for our soul to live in. this might seem obvious, but not to me until now. how amazing is it that this body was created for me to live in while i'm away from my Heavenly Father? That he has blessed me with something so amazing, and so sacred, something that will protect me. but then i thought about a soul. how crazy amazing is that? that really, we're just a soul, inside a buildup that is only allowing us to breathe, to eat, to w...

on all things Cheyenne. (life lately)

Image
Haven't written in a while; so heres a little update on all things Cheyenne. I am preparing to enter the Holy house of the Lord, I'm going into that gorgeous white temple in the next couple of weeks, YES! can you believe that? this last week my bishop asked me to pray and think hard about who i might want to be my escort (since i do not have the opportunity to enter with my mom) this was actually a really hard decision. Like i have so many amazing women around me.. and picking just one that has been the most amazing inspiration.. that was tough. But once i knelt down to pray about it.. it was ever so clear. KIM! I've known Kim Ashton for the last two years, i nanny for her ever so beautiful family. I've grown so close to this gorgeous family. Kim was like my spiritual mother, the lady that guided me and expressed her concerns and praised me in the gospel. So truly, it didn't surprise me when Heavenly Father told me that she was the one. I asked Kim if that...

I thank Him for the eternal family unit, for the privilege we have of being sealed ourselves in his holy temples, Chapter 17: Sealing Power and Temple Blessings http://www.lds.org/manual/teachings-of-presidents-of-the-church-joseph-fielding-smith/chapter-17-sealing-power-and-temple-blessings?lang=eng

No pics for this bloggie post. a neat expierence will do the trick. today I had the chance to sit next to my beautiful friend Kyra, in a Saint George stake center, gathering to watch the Ogden Temple dedication!  And as much as I was looking down, playing with the CTR ring on my finger, as much as the nerdy boys next to us leaned over to talk.. the special words and lessons I learned today were extraordinary. a true worry that consumes me on a daily basis, the fear of not being with my family (mom, dad, brother and sister) often becomes a big ache in my heart. BUT; through the dedication some expressions that flew through my body enlightened my soul. "you have to allow yourself and work to be sealed for time and all eternity," and "our loved ones have to work for the same blessings." and even though that wasn't an answer of how and why I want and need my family to have the ability of being my forever family, it sure did calm this heart of mine. Peace covered me,...

summertime adventure.

Image
lately the adventures haven't stopped growing, through new classes at school, and even more online classes, from hikes and walks with the puppy, from swimming and hot tubbing, even visiting friends who moved home from college for the summer, summer isn't like it was when i was young, definitely a lot different, in fact, it wasn't much of a summer or break at all; but sure have enjoyed the swimming, hiking and the long and eventful summer semester. and summer meant getting through a year without tyler, so clap for that.
