seems how its Mothers Day:

i'm literally the most blessed daughter on the planet, and universe.
my mom is my VERY best friend,
i go no where without her by my side,
i don't smile unless i've seen her that day,
we hold hands while watching movies,
she knows my every secret, and i know hers,
many girls say their mothers are "best friends" ..
but nobody has the friendship that my mom and i carry together,
the post office man said earlier this week: ".. and you always bring your mom, it's so cute."
we looked at each other, smiled and said "well, we're always together" and began giggling.

my mom is MY hero,
my mom is MY best friend,
my mom is MY biggest strength
my mom is MY greatest happiness
my mom is MY mom,

and for that, i realize what an amazing blessing it is to be a part of her family,
i realize that i was called to serve in this family on earth for my greatest joys and benefits,


but beyond just mothers day, with a missionary out, that meant he gos to skype home today,
i wasn't able to attend, but looking at the symbol of him being "online" was cool: knowing that our minds, hearts and bodies are in the same spot.

Ultimate Charity

I gave a talk yesterday during sacrament meeting- I thought i'd share it here. CHARITY I think that for many of us, charity is something that we have to work for. I don’t think that everybody has the natural ability to be charitable. I believe most of us have to choose to put our selfishness aside, to become more charitable. Charity is a choice. Growing up in Saint George Utah, I was one of the rare, nonmembers in my grade. At a young age, I didn’t understand why none of my friends were able to play on Sunday, I didn’t understand how going to church on Sunday was important than riding bikes outside, I didn’t understand that Mondays were for family, I didn’t understand  when one girl told me while at recess one day, that Jesus gave her belly button. I didn’t grow up in an environment that understanding all of that, believing it and finding hope in that was normal. There have been some thoughts going through my heart and mind recently-- i know that these thoughts are not only my own. What i mean by that is, I know many other individuals that have these thoughts floating around in their heads as well.
