The Living Christ

I wanted to share my testimony; but in a different way than just expressing what i know to be true.
I wanted to talk about Jesus Christ, and our Father in Heaven.

I'll start by saying--
Jesus Christ died for me, but he is still living. He lives, and loves, he saves and comforts.

"where justice and mercy meet." -- Jeffery R. Holland
this is a good read and i encourage you to read this.

I think that sometimes, our testimonies lean towards Jesus Christ. I think that sometimes we tend to think that we know and have a relationship with Christ, more than Heavenly Father. But we must always remember that what Christ has done, our father has done also. That Jesus Christ is a direct reflection of our Father in Heaven.

Moses 7: 35
"Behold, I am God; Man of Holiness is my name;
Man of Cousel is my name; and Endless and Eternal is my name, also."

This is one of my favorite scriptures; because in one verse,
it expresses all that my Heavenly Father represents.

Starting with Christ:
When Jesus Said "here am i, send me"
this is important because he himself volunteered, he chose to come and to perform the atonment. He chose, and he wanted to do this action for all of us. HE WILLINGLY WENT. This shows how much greater Jesus Christ is than any of us. Jesus Christ had to be above all things, to descend below all depths. Jesus Christ far surpassed others in Heaven, and he inspires the world.

Every single day, each second, Christ is pulling for each of us. He suffered once for us, every single one of us. And yet he is still sacrificing for me. Still thinking of me, even though he has FINISHED atoning for me.

Isn't this amazing to think? Jesus Christ has already finished suffering for me; he has completed the goal; and yet, still to this day long after his suffering, he continues to suffer and take upon him my sins, my pain and my sorrows.

2 Nephi 25:23
"for we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do."

Even after all that we can do-- we are still not enough, and that is when and where Christ comes in. After all WE can do.. we are never alone, not at any moment are we alone. There WE: meaning, Jesus Christ and myself.

The Savior wins. We are on the winning team. "He will preserve the righteous." "the righteous need not fear."

D&C 84:88
Christ: On your right hand, and on your left. He will surround you with his angels- both earthly and heavenly.

Humble..
i think there is a lot that can be said about humility.

"Being humble means recognizing we are not on earth to see how important we can become but to see how much difference we can make in the lives of others." -Gordon B Hinkley

as we become, we become more like him. and as we become more like him, we become more recognizable to him. we have to get to know him in order to become more like him.

leave yourself open to the Lord. give the Lord gratitude for what the Lord gives us. Humility is the willingness for us to act on God's will. Act how the Lord would have us act.

Mosiah 3:13
"And the Lord God hath sent his holy prophets among all the children of men, to declare these things to every kindred, nation, and tongue, that thereby whosoever should believe that Christ should come, the same might receive remission of their sins, and rejoice with exceedingly great joy, even as though he had already come among them."
We must let go of our pride and self gratification, and humble ourselves before the Lord.
