9-11 '15

Today I was asked where I was and what I was doing in 9-11. I was shocked at how emotional I became.

If you know well enough, you would know that America is one of my favorite and most appreciated blessings in my life. You would know that patriotic things ALWAYS bring tears to my eyes. Each time I hear the star spangled Banner, every time I have the chance to say the pledge of allegiance, each time I see anybody in uniform serving; tears come, full forced.

So on a day like this, it isn’t strange that my heart is heavy. As I had the chance to pray for those who might be hurting today, last night, my entire heart swelled with such love. To truly feel how blessed I am to be a part of this country. To feel such unity in and on days such as today. I feel so grateful to be in a country that comes together in times like these. I feel so grateful to feel such love and compassion in the country today.

“tonight I ask for your prayers for all those who grieve, for the children whose worlds have been shattered, for all whose sense of safety and security has been threatened. And I pray they will be comforted by a power greater than any of us, spoken through the ages in Psalm 23: “even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for you are with me.”

A big thank you to those who are currently serving, and those who served on this day 14 years ago. Prays to those who lost their loved ones that day. Xoxo
