to live and to die.

Today i've thought a lot about life. what it means to be alive, to be brought to Earth, to have a family so perfectly created for me. i've thought about death, what it means to return to our Father in Heaven. i've thought about how grateful i am for Gods plan, for his sacrifices for us. recently it seems like death has been exploding in my life. so i began thinking what it means to be alive, and what it means to die. how amazing it is that we are sent to earth for a body, that it's our body until we die. its really just a house for our soul to live in. this might seem obvious, but not to me until now. how amazing is it that this body was created for me to live in while i'm away from my Heavenly Father? Easter and Jesus

today was wonderful, not only because it is Easter; but because of these wonderful darlings who made teaching primary all worth it, I love these goofs. how lucky am i? I teach these beauties. the other reason: My big brother now has a fiancé, looking at these make me cry, thinking back to when we were little, when he would kiss my knee scrapes better, and catch me from falling, or the times that he was my (bad) example of walking on a 13 foot block wall that mom told us not to walk on.. and i fell, but he ran to me, picked me up and ran me inside because my arm was broken, shaking and almost crying he explained to my parents "i think chey broke her arm." no matter the situation, he was always saving me, all the nights he would tuck me into bed and play boy games together for hours (he would never allow girl games) when he used to save me from life in general.. if i had to choose one person as my hero, my big brother would b...

That precious precious boy. Nothing prepares you for a heartbreak like this-- all those high school breakups, all those college breakups, nothing quite prepares. I sit here with tears filling my eyes, with a sharp pain in my heart -- an overwhelming longing for Landon I can't quite express the feelings running through my chest. a whole lot of overwhelming happiness in my heart with a slight urge to laugh and smile because of the memories I have of Landon. My heart is aching but every time reality hits me in the face, reminding me of the truth, Tears and pain aren't the only things I feel. I begin to get giddy, to laugh, giggle and smile.
